My Fiance Loves The Cash…Hates The Perks. Mansion Bound!

Perhaps you read my rant how I couldn’t make it to Affiliate Summit West and one of my only chance to try and afford it would’ve been to win a trip say on ShoeMoney’s blog? Yes/No? I’ve seen the numerous AzoogleAds advertising that they are doing ANOTHER big party for their top publishers this year again. They are having it at the same venue they had it last year, THE PLAYBOY MANSION!

So now if you are like me you are a member of AzoogleAds but you really haven’t had that much (if any) success with them. So our chances of going are next to nil. This year they are inviting the top 40 incremental sales generators to the trip to thank them for all their hard work. Now call me crazy but I am assuming that most of these guys are pushing the $250k+ in leads to be on that list, I could even be seriously under estimating on this figure. I know Jonathan Volk has mentioned how they are his top affiliate company and he often references having over $4 Million in sales in 2009. Is that gross revenue or net, who knows, point is that he was at the last party at I wasn’t for reasons such as this.

However! Perhaps you saw my post about his Free Internet Marketing Guide he put out there? Yesterday he ran a contest with AzoogleAds in reference to the guide. It was a pretty simple survey just inquiring about some things about both companies (basically ensuring that you are familar with both) and he was going to give the two people who answered correct the fastest a trip to the AzoogleAds party. Well I did this survey early in the morning when I saw it go off on my RSS reader and around 3:30 I got a call from Azoogle. I was in a staff meeting at work so they left me a message.

Hi Mike this is AzoogleAds give us a call back we have some great news for you!

My fingers were tingling and my heart was racing as I called them back and they were like “Yeah you won the Jonathan Volk contest, you are coming to LA in August and are going to hang out at the Play Boy Mansion!” BOOM! Hell Yes! This is like the coolest thing ever!! Their Party looks sweet. Not to mention you get to hang with top affiliates for a little bit, I’m sure they would be willing to share some tips and tricks to their loyal blog stalkers.

So naturally the point comes where I’ve told all my friends…and by told I mean bragged like a jackass (can you blame me?). Now only one person left to share the news with, my lovely fiance. I had a feeling she would’ve take it so well. She has been more than supportive with my dabbling in affiliate marketing and has shared the excitement with me when I made my first sale, etc. She herself is a successful entrepeneur and so naturally she encourages my goals of success. But guess what. She wasn’t so happy about the whole Play Boy Mansion part haha! (please notice the nervous laughter there)

I had to explain how it is mostly a mini conference with the top publishers and then they basically have a BBQ at the mansion, is this an understatement, who knows. Something tells me she doesn’t believe me though! So lets let the pictures speak for themselves. If you went to, or know of anyone who went to AzoogleAds mansion bash last year and has pictures, post some links! I need all the proof I can that the event is rather tame and or all the excuses to say ‘Too bad I’m going!!!!’
