So like 16 days ago or something like that I ran across a post on the Affiliate Summit blog (HERE) that was talking about a competition about running. Now let me make this perfectly clear, I am about as slow as a Honda CRX (all you Honda fanatics can go to hell, you know the car is a piece of shit no matter how big of a wing you put on it). However I LOVE CHALLENGES.
So I read on and come to find out the challenge is all about running with this nike+ sensor thing. I researched it a bit and it looks like Nike came out with this little pedometer like tracking gadget that can sync to your iPod/iPhone. I actually saw this app on my phone once and was like ‘wtf is that?’ Anyways the little pedometer thing can be bought at most stores, I picked mine up at Dick’s Sporting Goods for $20. Then you need a pair of Nike running shoes…NOT just any regular Nike shoes. They HAVE to have a Nike+, pay attention to the ‘+’ plus sign on them. This means that the shoes have a little insert in the left sole that can be removed and make room for the pedometer chip. From there it can track your miles on your Apple product.
First of all this is simply genius. I’ve already talked to people who bought iTouches just for this and I myself ended up buying new Nike+ running shoes just for this. Good for them for making us go crazy for gadgets! Originally I bought the pedometer and was like “I aint paying for no damn new kicks to!” then I found this little sensor shoe pocket thing. It was like $5 and it velcroes onto your regular shoelaces. This worked great for what it was, but after running a few miles my feet were really hurting in my regular cross training shoes.
So I broke down and bought a pair of Nike+ running shoes and the rest is history! I’ve run over 70km in two weeks which is pretty good for someone who hasn’t run in several years. I’m currently in 31st place on the contest and gaining! I’m convinced I will make it to the top 10 by the time ASE runs around. Speaking of which if anyone wants to toss me a Silver Pass or something to ASE I will happily wear your logo on my shirt as I run the next few hundred Miles! The top leader (NO WAY I CAN CATCH HER) has like almost 600 KM logged.
WISH ME LUCK!
P.S. Damn you ASE for making me run for an hour each day when I SHOULD be running affiliate campaigns. However I do thank you for the 5+ pounds I’ve lost since running began!

I fully support this new endeavor- you'll be in fighting shape in no time!
Now why can't I have an addiction like yours?? Why do I have to get hooked on Xbox, smoking, pizza, booze, 'exotic' dancers, running with scissors, and all the things that fast-track me to my demise?
